University of Cagliari
The University of Cagliari is a public state University with 31.102 enrolled students, over 1.000 teaching staff and more than 1.000 professionals at the technical-administrative staff. The University of Cagliari Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE) main research areas are: Automatic Control, Bioengineering, Circuits and Systems, Communications, Computer Science, Electrical Drives and Power Electronics, Electromagnetics, Electronics, Measurement Systems, Power Systems.
DIEE staff includes 45 professors; by including Ph.D. students and the non-permanent staff the total number of researchers is 150. The department has a consolidated budget of 2.5 M€ with incomes from privately funded research contracts as well as international, national and local research projects. The DIEE has strong co-operations and relationships with several research labs (both industrial and public) and with other academic institutions worldwide.
