VSL

VSL is the Dutch National Metrology Institute. It is a private company with a public task, with slightly more than 100 employees, of which around 50 % is scientific (MSc or PhD). Its services to industry include calibrations, reference materials, R&D, consultancy, and training.

VSL was JRP-Coordinator for the EMRP JRP ENG04 SmartGrid and has a wide range of experience in low, medium and high voltage power and energy measurements, PMU development and calibration, and on-site PQ measurement.

On power quality and smart grid related issues, VSL closely collaborates with TU Delft, TU Eindhoven and Haagse Hogeschool, the Dutch TSO (TenneT), test laboratory GL DNV KEMA, and two Dutch DSOs (Alliander and DNWG) by analyzing real grid data.
